Microsoft completed purchase of Bethesda in March of 2021, and Xbox head Phil Spencer confirmed that Elder Scrolls 6 would be Xbox and PC exclusive this past November. However, times change, and business can become fierce. Indeed, a PS5 version was assumed when the sixth entry was announced back in 2018. It’s a bit of an odd situation, since past Elder Scrolls games have been on PlayStation consoles. It very likely won’t release for anything other than the Xbox Series X/S or PC, since Microsoft owns Bethesda Game Studios, the developers of the game. The Elder Scrolls 6 will not release on PlayStation 5 or the Nintendo Switch. Xbox chief Phil Spencer basically confirmed that The Elder Scrolls VI will be an Xbox exclusive in an interview with GQ.
